An urban project to bring new magic to the living environment
Three Artists United by the Plant World
The exhibition brings together the complementary worlds of Steve Pitocco, Catherine Baas, and Guillaumit. Steve Pitocco applies his “Filing” technique to a murals titled *L’enfance qui rêve l’équilibre du monde* (*Childhood Dreaming of the World’s Balance*), blending fauna, flora, and dreamlike landscapes. Catherine Baas, drawing on her experience in interior design and ethnobotany, has created the sculptural installation *Ici et là* (*Here and There*), composed of umbrella-like structures and sinuous seating inspired by the leaves found on-site. Finally, the multi-talented artist Guillaumit has designed a playful murals that explores our relationship with living things.
Sustainable Transformation for the Benefit of Residents
Conceived as a multi-year project, PALM will feature six artistic installations. These installations transform our relationship with public space by creating genuine places for rest and observation. Catherine Baas’s installation offers a habitable micro-architecture that invites visitors to read or socialize under the trees. Steve Pitocco’s designs celebrate Orly’s biological and cultural diversity, making art accessible to all generations. Alongside them, Guillaumit’s playful murals encourage strolling and play while raising young children’s awareness of the natural world. Through these enduring and interactive works, the gardens become platforms for raising awareness about biodiversity issues.
