Anamorphosis or « the art of secret perspective » (Albrecht Dürer)
This word comes from the Greek « ana » meaning transformation and « morphosis » meaning form. Indeed, anamorphosis is an optical illusion that allows completely distorted images to regain their appearance when viewed from a precise point. Our teams have already created anamorphoses; discover our projects.
Historically, anamorphosis is not new, as it appeared in Piero della Francesca's (1412-1492) research on perspective. Today, it has multiple applications, both in architecture and in “trompe-l’œil”.
Impressive, isn't it?
