Our latest trompe l'oeil wall projects
What are the main types of wall trompe l'oeil?
anamorphosis
anamorphosis is a particularly surprising and striking type of trompe l'oeil. The work is only revealed to the viewer when they are positioned at the correct angle. This technique encourages the viewer to move around the space to discover the different possible viewpoints.
Realism
Secondly, realism is the historical form of trompe-l'oeil. This technique aims to make something appear real. It is frequently used for ceilings and/or false windows. For example, a hole in the roof can be made to appear real by reproducing a cloudy sky.
The optical illusion
This type of trompe l'oeil is generally used in public spaces. In addition, more and more street artists are bringing it back into fashion.
Who are the artists specializing in trompe l'oeil?
Since ancient times, trompe l'oeil has been a discipline that has attracted talented artists. Notably Da Vinci, one of the pioneers who enjoyed playing with perspective. In modern times, we have Georges Rousse, who played with shapes and angles of view. More contemporary, street artist Vile plays with spray paint for his trompe-l'oeil works.
How to create a trompe l'oeil mural?
Our company uses various techniques for trompe l'oeil projects. Generally, our mural painters begin by sketching the outline at night, projecting the sketch onto the surface. This technique allows for greater precision in the final work. They then fill in the colors during the day.
We create trompe l'oeil on various media.
Our artistic fresco teams have created trompe l'oeil paintings on a wide variety of surfaces. In fact, this artistic technique does not require a specific surface or size. The type of surface can therefore be very varied. It can be a building facade, an interior wall, a floor, or even a staircase.
Our most beautiful trompe l'oeil
A trompe-l'oeil murals on a building facade
Depicting the sky where one would not expect to see it and eliminating all notions of perspective and reason are the challenges of this project. Eugène Boudin's impressionistic skies border on surrealism here: an unexpected element in the urban landscape.
Thismurals is part of a route connecting Clichy–Levallois station to the BLACK Paris Clichy building, which will house low-carbon offices.
A trompe-l'oeil mural with artist Louyz
A new façade has been completed for Immobilière 3F and La Garenne-Colombes Town Hall, blending seamlessly into the urban landscape. The false windows were created on canvas in the studio. They were then mounted onto the gable. The tree, meanwhile, was painted directly onto the surface.

What is the budget for creating a trompe l'oeil painting?
The price of a murals depends on several factors.
Artistic or simply decorative trompe l'oeil
If it is purely decorative, with no artistic ambition, then the design will be inexpensive. However, if you want an artist's signature, the design and transfer of rights can represent a significant expense.
The dimensions and medium of the work
Obviously, the budget depends on the size of the artwork. In addition, some materials are more technical than others. Paint and adhesives do not always stick well, which can lead to additional costs.
Accessibility
If the work is to be carried out in an office, indoors, the budget is limited. However, if the work requires a cherry picker or other equipment, the budget increases.
Finally, to give you an idea of the cost, expect to pay between €150 and €400 per square meter.
