Artistic frescoes

Artistic frescoes play a key role in enhancing public and private spaces, adding vitality and character. They transform these spaces by giving them a unique identity, thanks to eye-catching colors and shapes. These murals help spaces stand out from the crowd, creating a memorable atmosphere that leaves a lasting impression and enhances the environment in the broadest sense.

Beyond their aesthetic aspect, they embody a true form of expression in their own right, capable of telling stories, reflecting values or conveying messages. Art stimulates reflection, arouses emotions and fosters exchange. Our artistic projects focus on individual and collective well-being.

Artistic murals for bonding

In addition to this visual transformation, frescoes reinforce local communities' sense of belonging. They tell stories, celebrate cultures and traditions, and often address social or environmental issues. This allows residents to feel connected to their environment and to maintain a special bond with their neighborhood or city.

The frescoes are also thought-provoking and encourage exchange. By tackling a variety of subjects, they provoke discussion and debate, transforming spaces into places of inspiration and dialogue. In this way, they become meeting points where ideas circulate and collective thought develops, offering an environment conducive to reflection.

murals to make art accessible to all

Finally, artistic murals offer an accessible platform for expression, particularly for local or international artists. They enable them to share their creative vision and reach a wide audience. By making art visible in everyday life, frescoes enrich the environment while making it more meaningful and engaging for passers-by.

In short, artistic murals are essential elements in bringing spaces to life. They encourage exchange, reflection and creative expression, contributing to a more inspiring and connecting environment for local communities and visitors alike.

murals on all supports

We then go on to create frescoes in a wide variety of spaces and on all types of surfaces. Facades, interior walls, sports fields, floors, parking lots, palisades and tarpaulins... The possibilities are endless.

We also create frescoes on all types of buildings: offices, apartment buildings, infrastructures, engineering structures and high-rise buildings.

For accessibility and safety reasons, we can mobilize specialized teams (e.g. rope access technicians), aerial platforms, scaffolding and other customized lifting systems.

A large community of artists and painters

Whenever possible, we make a point of using local artists for our fresco projects. We work with a large community of artists throughout France and Europe. These artists have a wide range of styles and technical skills, so we can respond to the many different requests we receive.

For example, we work with urban artists, but also with artists specializing in trompe-l'œil or classical decors. Abstract, figurative, lettering, anamorphosis... All styles are possible, and our role is to suggest the artists best suited to the project.

Finally, artists can also entrust us with the reproduction of their sketch. We then mobilize a specialized team to reproduce it as faithfully as possible, as close as possible to the original intention.

artistic murals : our methodology

Our methodology includes several stages, from creation to production of the frescoes.

Consulting and Art Direction

First, we define the medium we want to invest in and the story we want to tell. This initial exchange will help us define the various possible themes, draft a note of intent and establish an artistic moodboard. This will enable us to gauge our customer's artistic sensibility and propose artist profiles that make sense.

Creation and sketching

The selected artist(s) will then be able to propose one or more graphic intentions, also known as preparatory sketches, in line with the established specifications. Naturally, there will be a certain amount of back and forth to ensure that the design meets the customer's expectations in every respect.

Alternatively, you can entrust us with a sketch that has already been validated in-house. In this case, we will only be responsible for its reproduction.

Paint selection

Once the sketch has been validated, we move on to creating the murals.

Beforehand, we study and recommend suitable paints. In this way, we can guarantee that our products are environmentally friendly, made in France and long-lasting.

murals design

Then, to apply the paint, we use a variety of application techniques. Depending on the rendering required, we use brushes, rollers, stencils, spray cans, spray guns, etc. We also call on different trades: stringers, nacellists, road painters, hyperrealistic painters, copyists, etc., to ensure that the work is similar to and conforms to the sketch validated beforehand.

When we arrive, we proceed to protect the spaces, trace the motif and then paint the murals. We can also recommend a primer and protective varnish if required.

At the end of the project, we draw up an acceptance report, certifying that the work has been completed to the required standard. Once this acceptance report has been validated, the balance of the project is paid and the copyright of the work is transferred.

Communication about the frescoes

To make the most of our artistic frescoes, we offer full communications support. Photographs and videos highlight the project, while exclusive artist's editions extend the experience. We also organize inaugurations to mark the event and maximize media impact.

Mediation

On the mediation side, explanatory labels, lectures and guided tours enhance understanding of the work, backed up by specially adapted tour booklets for particularly rich scenographies. These tools guarantee optimum presentation and a lasting connection with the public.

All over France and Europe

PALM's head office is based in the heart of Paris, enabling us to carry out artistic projects throughout France and Europe with ease.

Generally speaking, we prefer to collaborate with local artists, in order to support the local contemporary art scene and reduce the carbon footprint of our projects.

We already operate in countries such as England, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Monaco.

The main types of artistic frescoes

The themes we address in our projects are always rooted in the context of the places where our frescoes come to life. The starting point may be the name of the building, the history of the neighborhood, the values of an organization or even a current event. From these threads, we weave a customized project that conveys meaning and identity.

Our frescoes are produced using a variety of creative typologies, to meet the specific needs of our customers. PALM strives to offer a diversity of artistic styles: anamorphosis, hyperrealism, graphics, illustration, abstraction, surrealism, naive art... Each project is a singular creation, designed to resonate with its environment while reflecting the expectations and imagination of those who welcome it.

We also support our customers in various programs:

decorative murals

We also offer the creation of decorative frescoes with graphic designers, an affordable alternative to artistic frescoes while retaining their many benefits. Without aiming for the complexity of an artist's work, these frescoes bring color, dynamism and character to the spaces they cover. Adapted to your needs and constraints, these decorative frescoes enrich your environment with an aesthetic and impactful solution, while remaining simplified and modular.

participative and collaborative murals

At PALM, we offer participative and collaborative frescoes. This approach is particularly appreciated by local authorities, social landlords and property developers. These projects make it possible to create works that reflect the identity of a place while directly involving its users.

Target audience

Collaboration is built through consultation with the target audience. These may be local residents, associations or children. This can include votes between several artists or sketches, but above all regular exchanges with the artist to adjust the project during a consultation. This back-and-forth dynamic establishes a human and creative dialogue, guaranteeing meaningful murals .

Participatory workshops

The participatory aspect comes to life through inclusive workshops, accessible to all. In the first workshop, participants work with the artist to design the sketch, learning to draw "à la manière de". A second workshop plunges them into painting, an impressive experience where the sketch comes to life on a grand scale.

By investing themselves fully in each stage, participants become true ambassadors for the work. These frescoes go far beyond aesthetics: they create links, enhance the value of the site and leave a lasting collective imprint.

murals

At PALM, our artistic projects are mainly carried out on murals. Experts in indoor murals, we work with companies to paint their reception areas, cafeterias, meeting rooms, open spaces and more. We also work with hotels to embellish their corridors, rooms and lobbies, as well as with restaurants, museums and shopping centers.

Exterior walls, like facades, are also a privileged field of expression for PALM. We create works ofurban art, painted painted advertisements or artistic patronageaccording to our customers' needs and desires.

At the same time, PALM explores other atypical surfaces and spaces: floors, hoardings, playgrounds, public spaces, roads, boats, harbours and even water towers. These interventions testify to our ability to push back the boundaries of creativity, transforming every space into a veritable work of art.

murals

The ground is increasingly becoming a medium for art. This applies to playgrounds, for example, where the aim is to make the infrastructure more visual and more inclusive. The same is true of public spaces, where the aim is to counter issues of degradation, desertion or poor use.

Roads play a crucial role in enhancing the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and motorists. In the same way, the frescoes on the ground highlight the meeting zones, cycle paths and crosswalks.

By highlighting these types of spaces, frescoes help to make them more attractive, more distinctive. They can also help certain sections of the public to reappropriate public space.

What's the budget for a murals ?

The budget for an artistic murals depends on several key factors:

  1. Choice of artist The choice of artist: the artist's reputation can influence the cost. An emerging or renowned artist can adjust the cost according to the project's communication stakes.
  2. The sketch Sketching: the technical and aesthetic complexity of the work, such as realism or fine details, has an impact on the time and money required. A hyper-realistic work will be more costly than a more abstract or solid-colored one.
  3. Project dimensions The challenge here lies in the m² to be invested. This determines the amount of equipment needed and the time required to mobilize the teams.
  4. The type of supplies Depending on the substrate and environment, certain supplies, such as special paints, can be more expensive. Special effects, such as black-light reaction or metallic effects, can also influence the budget.
  5. Accessibility of the area Accessibility: if specific elevation systems are required, such as a gondola or scaffolding, this may affect the price. The area must also be secured with a ground supervisor and protective barriers.

The average price is between 150 and 300 euros per m². For a more precise estimate, please contact us. Our quotations are free, fast and include various options and advice to help you understand your project.
