PALMulette

Use a visual to estimate the surface area per color and the paint quantities required

A tool developed by PALM for artists, painters and muralists.

PALMulette instructions for use

  1. Import the visual
  2. Define the number of different colors
  3. Define the surface area of the murals in m².
  4. Choose the type of paint you want (our recommendations: Théofaçade for facades, Isolatex for playgrounds, and Technimix for all surfaces).
  5. Optional: change the color variation tolerance (by default set at 30, you can increase it so that the tool considers very similar shades as a single hue, or lower it to clearly delimit each shade).
  6. Then click on each color to see the quantities required

How does PALMulette work?

PALMulette automatically calculates the number of pixels per color, and therefore the surface area per color, using an image recognition AI tool. Then, depending on the type of paint chosen, the tool calculates the quantity of paint required, taking into account the paint's yield per m² and the number of coats required according to the technical data sheet (usually 2 coats). The tool also identifies the nearest shade in the Théodore Colorimix color chart.
