When urban art becomes a collective project

murals are often thought murals their final aesthetic appearance. However, their true power comes from the journey that leads to it: encounters, exchanges, shared gestures. Involving local residents transforms a work of art into a shared experience.

Why involve residents?

First impressions also matter when it comes to living together.

  • Giving a voice: every neighborhood and every generation has a story to tell.
  • Building social connections: co-creating means sharing a moment of exchange and pride.
  • Promoting ownership: a murals is better respected because it symbolically belongs to those who contributed to it.

Anchoring a local identity: residents become actors in the visual and cultural transformation of their city.

Clear, adaptable, and inclusive participation formats

There is no single way to engage: we put together a range of tools depending on the location and audience.

  • Meetings & discussions: listening to people's wishes, gathering testimonials, understanding the history of the site and the message to be conveyed, defining the collective's sensibility.
  • Creative workshops: collaborative sketching; shapes, colors, symbols imagined with the artist
  • Shared painting sessions: children, teens, adults, seniors... everyone adds their own touch, guided by the artist.

Participatory workshops, for everyone, truly

Citizen participation has no age or profile. Children bring spontaneity and energy; teenagers find a rewarding means of expression; adults get involved in their living environment; seniors pass on memories and landmarks.
Each workshop is adapted (pace, instructions, actions) so that everyone can find their place. We enjoy designing intergenerational projects that spark unexpected encounters, encourage dialogue, and allow people to reclaim public or private spaces.

Much more than a work of art

A murals is an image of the local area, a dialogue between residents, artists, and sponsors, and a lasting impression on people's minds as well as on walls.
murals just paintings: they are a tool for cohesion and collective inspiration.
