A murals by artist Cécile Jaillard
Graduating in graphic design in 2015, Cécile initially worked as a graphic designer before gradually shifting her practice towards more manual forms: mural painting, collage, illustration.
Her universe is inspired by living things. She explores plant forms in colorful, poetic compositions, sometimes inhabited by fantastical characters or cosmic elements. These figures, seemingly straight out of a fairy tale, reenchant urban space and invite reverie.
On a small section of the square, a motif was deliberately left empty, so that children could come and color it in with chalk. A way of allowing them tomake the square their own, to express themselves freely on the public domain, through art.
