A contemporary murals linked to the "1 building, 1 work" program
As part of the national 1 immeuble, 1 œuvre program, SOGEPROM has entrusted PALM with the transformation of the Village Bongarde shared space in Villeneuve-la-Garenne. The aim is to integrate contemporary art into the daily lives of local residents and give the space a clear identity.
The work of Alix d'Anselme
Local illustrator and muralist Alix d'Anselme has created a contemporary floral murals . She changes the scale to plunge visitors into the midst of stylized flowers inspired by local flora, as if at insect height. Graphic stems and brightly colored petals give structure to the space, revitalizing what was previously a very mineral room, with a back-and-forth between legible elements and more abstract passages.
What the murals tells
The work represents life in the city and rehabilitates the place of nature in a busy space. The choice of flowers soothes and brings people together, while at the same time serving a purpose: the stems punctuate the pathway and become a gentle signpost, providing orientation and creating a landmark. This approach responds to the context of the site, asserts a clear identity for users and extends the spirit of 1 immeuble, 1 œuvre by bringing creativity into everyday life.
