À Villebon-sur-Yvette, PALM has transformed the the courtyard of the La Roche nursery school into immersive playgroundoffering children a colorful a colorful recreation that stimulates mobility and the imagination..

This intervention is part of the OASISprogram, which aims to refreshing and greening school grounds in order to combat urban heat islands.

When tree planting or complete revegetation is not possible, painting becomes an essential tool to visually and sensorially transform the spaceand make it welcoming and attractive while encourage active use.

A murals with artist Alix d'Anselme

Alongside artist Alix d'Anselme, PALM has designed a murals by active designcomposed of colorful, organic shapes that combine plant life plants, playful circuits and game trails.

The motifs link the different areas of the courtyard and continue on the walls and create connections between spaces. The aim is clear: to inspire children to run, jump, explore and have funwhile the identity of the school and neighborhood..

This type of intervention shows how urban art can effectively complement an OASISproject, bringing visual freshness, dynamism and identity to school grounds where vegetation is limited.
